Hi-Liner’s 16″ long x 5/16″ diameter Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Pigtail Dehooker has a
handle and pigtail made completely of durable 304L-316th grade stainless steel. The PVC protector meets NOAA’s turtle release gear requirement.
(Only one short-handled de-hooker is required on-board if the approved short-handled de-hooker is designed to remove both ingested and external hooks.)
Required equipment for HMS PLL vessels.
Removes fouled hooks (circle) from sea turtles and other by-catch species.
Recommended for Hook sizes: from 4/0 to 20/0.
